Today the Committee of Clerks will meet in the early morning, and the Financial Peace University will resume at 5:00 pm.

Please join the Earth Quaker Action Team on Saturday, Dec. 6, starting at 1:45, on Capitol Hill for an action at PNC Bank, addressing the bank’s funding of companies engaged in mountain-top removal. Meet at the top of the Eastern Market escalator. This action is co-sponsored by FMW’s Peace & Social Concerns Committee. In the early morning of Sunday, Dec. 7, the Nominating and Child Safety Committees will meet, as well as the Adult Study Group. There will be singing in the Meeting Room, starting at 10:00. After worship, there will be a First Day School training, as well as committee meetings for Ministry & Worship, Membership, and Marriage & Family. Jean Smith will bring goods from Kenya to sell to support AIDs widows. The Financial Peace University resumes at night.

 

Heads up: The annual Shoebox Project will take place on Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm both days. We will pack more than 1000 boxes with practical gifts for our vulnerable neighbors. For more info, contact Steve Brooks at sbrooks@uab.edu
