Aug. 31: Friends may be interested to learn that, in response to our recently altered alcohol policy, the Meeting will be hosting a new Al-Anon lunchtime group at noon on Wednesdays, starting this day. All are welcome. Al-anon is a 12-step group for family and friends of alcoholics.

Sept. 2-4:  Spiritual Formation Program Fall Retreat, Priest Field Pastoral Center (Kearneysville, WV)  Join us for our Fall Retreat at the beautiful Priest Field center. For full information, go to

Sept. 4: The Nominating, Membership, Religious Education, and Ministry & Worship Committees will meet, as well as a Spiritual Formation Group. There will be singing in the Meeting Room at 10:00 am; all voices and ages welcome.

Sept. 10:  Clerks of Committees Workshop, Frederick Friends Meeting.

Sept. 17: Jenn Fredette will be giving a workshop to Friends on setting boundaries.  Jenn has a Masters of Pastoral Counseling from Marymount University and a Masters of Divinity from Wake Forest University.  We expect her to help us learn better pastoral care practices.  The workshop runs from 10 am to 2:30 p.m.; lunch will be served.  Please RSVP to Debby at admin@quakersdc.org
